Great Outdoors Speaker Series

If you like the outdoors, and would like to know more about McAllen's amazingly diverse flora and fauna, mark your calendars for Thursday nights and head to Quinta Mazatlan. Each Thursday, for just $3, you'll be treated to an expert in some field of nature, from birds to plants to mammals to insects. It's a great opportunity to learn something new and to visit McAllen's gorgeous birding center. Take the kids along- the presentations begin at 7, last just an hour and are guaranteed to be family-appropriate.
