McAllen---The McAllen International Orchid Society (MIOS) Will meet at 2:30 p.m. Today at the South Texas College Library on Pecan Blvd. McAllen.
The society is dedicated to the conservation and propagation of numerous species of locally grown orchid Members discuss orchid genetics, division techniques and propagation mehtodologies. Hybrids are discussed along with various aspects related to pseudo-bulb divisions, how seed capsules mature, are flasked and flower. Each month the club conducts silent auctions of orchids in various growth mediums as a means of expanding the personal colections of each member.
